Iintel Arc Gfx

Hello everyone

I was looking forward to buying and trying one of those newfangled future discrete GFX cards from Intel

Dumb of me to use Intel Update Assisant however

It alerted me with a yellow mark that my intel CPU system with high end Gfx card from another manufacturer is not compatible with Intel Arc Gfx

WHY?

what is the intended purpose of this

is it the worthless integrated cpu Gfx that are now being berated?

is it just a marketing ploy?

I am no sheeple and this stunt has me turned off from this Arc Gfx thing altogether now

Thank you for saving me the money, Intel

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

This is the info from driver and support assistant

This is also the second computer I have that gets this notification

The other one was an i7 9700 system with nvidia Gfx card

What really irks me is the fact that I could care less about that type of hardware or if it is compatible

I think it might be a bug on the website

Or otherwise a deterrent from investing in that hardware

I can try some 10 more intel computers to see if they get the notification too...

They are all 9th gen or older

Your processor is not supported by Windows 11.

Sure it is

6th and 7th gen are allowed to run 11 just not upgrade from 10

BUT be that as it may

The other one is an i7 9700 ALSO running 11

Funny is how the link with Learn more is a link to the main Intel support and product page

No, they are not.   Checlk Microsoft's compatibility list, and show me where it says what you claim.

TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are enabled and windows 11 is working fine until MS decides it shouldn't anymore

Drivers and hardware all supported

But be that as it may

It doesn't matter since the i7 9700 IS supported and also gets the Arc Gfx incompatible notification

Maybe Arc Gfx cards require PCIE 4.0?
