When I run any full screen application at below 1080p resolution. It just centers the resolution on the display. It does not obey what I have selected in Intel graphics software. I currently have selected GPU scaling (Stretch) on intel graphics software. The application does not stretch fully to the screen. I have used following application (Doom Eternal, Crisis core final fantasy vii reunion. screen does not strech at all. On selecting full screen (exclusive) on these games it just centers on the screen on what I have selected in Intel Graphics software.

1. I started to act like this after certain update of intel graphics driver software update. Before I use to use GPU Scaling(Preserve Aspect Ratio) use to fill the whole display. Now none of GPU scaling method works not even Stretch to fill whole screen. I have latest WHQL Driver software update of 5/30/2025 where it also works as given in above screenshot i.e. on Stretch Scaling method of GPU scaling mode. I also tried Life is Strange, Life Is Strange: True Colors there Stretch scaling also not work. But when I tried Persona 4 Golden where even 800x600 resolution streches to whole screen using same scaling settings i.e. there i does not occur.
2. Setting of my IGS are as follows in the following screenshots:
- Updates manual and automatic updates disabled, Install mode express. Current Driver version 32.0.101.6874
- My laptop is HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000. It shows as HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx in Intel SSU.

Hello qwerty1234,
Thank you for providing this information.
Based on the SSU report, you're currently using drivers from Intel. Since you are using a laptop, we recommend installing the drivers provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), as these are specifically customized and optimized for compatibility with your system. If you have not yet tried the OEM driver, please do so at your earliest convenience and let me know the results.
Best regards

This is the OEM driver it is at around Sep,2024. Generic driver is quite new older version of OEM driver might not have the "Intel Graphics Software" on driver package. I may have older Intel Graphics Command Center. Should I revert to OEM driver or may be generic driver may fix this issue later on. I have screenshot of that.
As you can see its quite old.

Hello qwerty1234,
Since the OEM-provided drivers have not yet been tested on your system, I strongly recommend installing and utilizing them to determine whether they help resolve the issue. OEM drivers are specifically tailored for your hardware configuration and may offer better compatibility and stability compared to generic drivers.
While I understand your preference for using the Intel Graphics Software, testing the OEM drivers is an important step in our troubleshooting process. It will allow us to better isolate the cause of the problem and identify a more effective solution.
In the meantime, if you are comfortable continuing with the Intel drivers despite the current issue, that is entirely acceptable. However, please keep in mind that using the OEM drivers may provide a more reliable experience and assist us in resolving the matter more efficiently.
Best regards

Hello,
I have just used latest WHQL driver version 32.0.101.6881 . It has largely fixed my problem now when I set GPU scaling to Stretch and Centered then my desktop screen also adjusts entirely eg. switching to resolution such as 720p. When I switch to lower resolution then when I select Stretch it stretches to whole screen and when I select centered it centres to the screen i.e. black bars on all sides i.e. It works as expected.

Hi qwerty1234,
We are pleased to hear that updating the graphics driver to the latest version 32.0.101.6881 has successfully resolved the issue.
Before we proceed with closing this inquiry, we would like to take this opportunity to provide you with additional information regarding the differences between OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) drivers and generic drivers, which may be helpful for future reference.
Intel generic drivers provide the core functionality required for the hardware to operate and are often released more frequently to include the latest features and fixes.
OEM drivers, on the other hand, are customized versions of the generic drivers that are specifically tailored by the system manufacturer for their devices. These drivers are optimized to work seamlessly with the unique hardware configurations, firmware, and software environments of the OEM's systems.
Nonetheless, as the latest driver from Intel has successfully resolved the issue, we will proceed with closing this inquiry.
Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance in the future, please feel free to submit a new request, as this thread will no longer be actively monitored.
Best regards,
Jed G.
