Installing new drivers on an old sistem?

I apologise if the question sounds dumb, but im at a loss here. One of the games I usually play is updated, but now it's requesting updated drivers. Here's the message I get:

Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
Installed: 31.0.101.2111
Recommended: 101.5333 or latest

I already have the latest available for me, so is there any way that can be done, or is buying something newer the only option?

We see this complaint regularly. Fact is, the bug is in the games. The game developers simply do not understand the major-minor-stepping-build numbering system that Intel uses and the difference between the package version number and the driver version number (seemingly despite many attempts at explanation). Worse, in many cases, the game developers refuse to release patches that will remove these silly, incorrect version checks.
All you can do is ignore the warnings.
Sorry,

@gabbo  The latest and likely last driver for your processor graphics is here:
