After updating to Intel Integrated Graphics Driver version 32.0.101.8626, the video editing software Vegas Pro 22.0 started crashing almost immediately on “Initialising GPU-accelerated processing...” The Fault Module was C:\windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch.inf_amd64_63d21f488e6934f6\igd10um64xe.DLL
This seems to be an Intel Integrated Graphics file.
I found and installed version graphics driver 32.0.101.8509 and this rectified the problem.
Intel Driver & Support Assistant is now offering me an update to version 32.0.101.8629. I could just install this and see what happens, but before I do that, can anyone tell me if my problem with Vegas Pro is likely to recur or has it been fixed?
System details:
Windows 11 Home 25H2 (64 bit)
Vegas Pro 22.0 (Build 250)
Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285K (3686 MHz), 24 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)
Device Manager simply says Display Adaptor is Intel (R) Graphics.

Thank you for posting in Intel Community.
I appreciate you for sharing the details about the issue you encountered with Vegas Pro 22 after updating to Intel Integrated Graphics Driver version 32.0.101.8626. Please be advised that updating the driver to version 32.0.101.8629 could fix the issue and updating the application will ensure compatibility with the latest driver.
However, may I know if you have a discrete graphics card installed in your system?
I'm looking forward to your response.
Best regards,

Hi Nathaniel,
The Intel Graphics Software app says the Graphics Type is Integrated. I have not installed any other graphics card.
The release notes for driver version 32.0.101.8629 says it includes bug fixes, nut I cannot find a listing anywhere of what specific bugs it fixes.
If possible I would like some assurance that updating to driver version 32.0.101.8629 will not cause a recurrence of the issue with Vegas Pro 22.0 failing to load.
Thanks.

Hi MarkOBrien,
Thanks for your response. If the driver release notes do not indicate any bug fixes for Vegas Pro 22.0, it means that there are no known issues for the said application in the release.
Usually, updating the graphics driver to the latest version can resolved graphics-related issues, however, it is not guaranteed that the issue will not recur after updating to version 32.101.8629, but you can give it a try to see the results as you can roll back to the known working driver version if the problem persists, and you may also inform us of the outcome so we can provide further recommendations if needed.
Please also note that resolving graphics‑related issues does not rely solely on driver updates. Other factors should be considered, including:
- Verifying that the system meets the minimum or recommended hardware requirements for the application.
- Ensuring the graphics driver version is aligned with the latest Windows OS updates and system BIOS, as these components are designed to work together.
- Checking for any available patches or updates from the application developer that may improve compatibility or performance.
To further investigate, I would like to know the following:
- Was Vegas Pro 22.0 working fine before updating to driver version 32.0.101.8626?
- Before using versions 32.0.101.8626 and 32.0.101.8509, which graphics driver version was previously installed?
Additionally, kindly download and run this tool, Intel System Support Utility (SSU) so I can review your system configuration:
- Open the Intel SSU application and click Scan.
- Select Everything, leaving all default items checked except for Networking (please ensure this option is unchecked).
- Click Next, then save the system information as a .txt file.
- Attach the saved .txt file when you reply to this message.
I'll be waiting for the requested information.
Best regards,

I have just tried the update to the latest driver version, 32.0.101.8629. I then rebooted, and exactly the same Vegas error occurred as I described before, with the same fault module. I then reinstalled driver version 32.0.101.8509, rebooted, and Vegas is OK.
My system meets the requirements for Vergas Pro 22.0. Windows and Vegas Pro 22.0 are up to date.
I did not say that Vegas was absent from the list of bugs fixed by version 32.0.101.8626, what I said was that there is no list.
Yes, Vegas was fine before driver version 32.0.101.8626. I don't know which version I had before that, and I don't know how to find out. But I tend to update the graphics driver as soon as I'm notified a new version is available. It may have been 32.0.101.8509, but I'm not sure.
I have run the Intel SSU scan as directed, and have attached the .txt output file.

Hi MarkO'Brien,
Like what we have discussed, the latest graphics driver version 32.0.101.8724 for Ultra Series 2 processors has now been released. I am glad to know that updating to this latest version successfully resolved the issue.
Since Vegas Pro is working fine as intended, I will now close this inquiry. If you require further assistance, please submit a new request, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards,
