Hi there,
I just bought a new HP laptop equiped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Intel ARC integrated graphics. System is Win11.
I'm having an issue with a second monitor.
I'd like to use my Acer 27" LED - ED273Awidpx as a second monitor. But for some reasons, it is not correctly supported by the Intel ARC graphics.
Full spec sheet of this monitor can be find here : https://www.lcd-compare.com/moniteur-ACEED273AWIDPX-ACER-ED273Awidpx.htm
I've tried with an AOC, and a Philips I have at work, evverything is fine and the resolution is 1920x1080. Only this Acer monitor seems to keep running at a lower resolution.
The monitor is perfectly fine, I use it every day on my desktop as a second monitor. I just need to switch from desktop to laptop when needed and use it for this laptop. No need to say it runs well with two other laptops I tried.
So is there anything I can do here? I tried to look for specific drivers for this monitor, to update, then roll back the ARC graphic updates. Nothing changes. Acer monitor is stuck at this low resolution.
Could it be that it is not supported by the ARC graphics at Full HD Resolution? That would be awkward.
If anyone can help. It is recognized as a Generic display, but shows the name ED273. I've tried to enter both display settings, peripherals settings, graphic settings, and nothing allows me to go beyond HD resolution.
Thanks
Here you can see it is not duplicate but extended, screen 2 is the ACER ED273
Max resolution
Screen properties
All available modes
Peripherals panel
Last driver for monitor
If I try to look for better drivers, Windows says latest already installed.

I've also tried to replace the generic driver with an Acer driver for ED273 with .inf file manually selected as driver disk.
Driver updated, but monitor still stuck at that same resolution.
See here with ED273 showing after driver replacement
And btw tried different cables. Even if it didn't make sense at all considering the issue.

Please provide the exact model name of this laptop. It is usually found on a label on the bottom of the device. Are you connecting via HDMI or another cable?
Please also create a Report for Intel Graphics Drivers and attach the output file here.
