Intel Driver Update Utility Updates Already-Updated Drivers

I see that the Intel Driver Update Utility has been updated as of July 13th of this year, but it still tells me to update my Intel HD Graphics driver from version 10.18.10.4226 to version 15.33.36.64.4226.

How do I fix this? If I can't, then when will Intel fix this?

Hello azroach,

There is nothing wrong; this would be the same driver. The first group of numbers change depending on what operating system and direct X* version you have.

You can check this article that explains how this works.

Hello Nighthawk62,

In this case, if you have an OEM system and you install the driver from the Intel® website it is possible that the game you are playing does not detect that you already have the latest driver.

I strongly recommend installing the latest driver from your computer manufacturer website as they are the proper drivers for your system.

In my case, dell hasn't released any drivers for windows 10 for Intel hd graphics. So what do I do instead?

Hello azroach,

At this point you will need to contact DELL to find out if your system will support Windows 10 or if they are going to upload any drivers for Windows 10 based on your system model.

Hello azroach,

Could you please provide me with your system msinfo32?

Press Ctrl+R on your keyboard and then type msinfo32, click OK and export the txt file and attach it to this forum, see the option to export or save it in the file tab.

Hello azroach,

Please try our https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25188/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-64bit-3rd-Gen-BYT- Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows® 10

If this driver does not work in your system, then you will need to contact your system manufacturer to find out if they will release a Windows 10 graphics driver for your system.

I'm using the 15.33.39.4276 driver for windows 10 and it seems to be working fine.

Except for one thing, the nvidia control panel does not start. The service is set to automatic yet it does not start with windows, and if I try to run it manually, it doesn't open.

Should I try to re-install it?

Hi,

In this case, I recommend contacting your system manufacturer as they are more familiar with your system configuration and how the components interact with each other.

Sir, if I have these two video cards and my monitor can only plug into one of the outputs at a time (nvidia or the onboard output on the motherboard for Intel) does this mean that one of the video cards will not be working while the monitor is plugged in since it can only be plugged into one output? Or will they both work even if the monitor is plugged into either the nvidia card or the onboard output on the motherboard?

Works now. The problem was that my monitor was plugged into the output on the nvidia video card. Once I plugged it into the onboard output on the motherboard the Intel control panel system tray icon suddenly appeared and I was able to open the control panel.

But if it is plugged into the motherboard, I can't open the nvidia control panel. And vice versa.

You are correct you will be able to use either the onboard video or the nvidia one.

I'm glad to hear that now it is working for you.
