Intel® Driver & Support Assistant not working after 10/14 Windows Patch Tuesday Updates

This started yesterday, Tuesday 10/14, right after installing Windows' patch Tuesday updates.  Intel DSA can no longer scan my systems.  

 

I did a before/after test on a second machine with the same result. Intel DSA worked right before the Windows Updates, and fails to work immediately after they're installed. Both devices are running Windows 11 25H2.  One is a HP laptop, other is a Lenovo laptop.  To be clear, both systems were already on 25H2 and IDSA was working on this Windows version - it was just the patches that broke something.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.


  1. What was the last change made in these 2 laptops before the issue started?
  2. When was the last time you were able to use the Intel DSA?
  3. What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?

Issue is resolved now on both my machines without me making any changes.  It looks like Intel fixed something on the backend.
