I´m also very disapoited with intel. I lost my hope, since Intel doesn´t care about our problems. I guess I´ll never buy Intel based computer again.

I am also terribly disappointed with the state of support for gma500. It's understandable that Intel might not be able to open source the driver, but not having provided something that works reasonably well for over two years, ignoring the users for two years, that's outrageous. Doesn't Intel care about its reputation (not that there is too much left of it by now)?

To keep it short, I'll never ever buy another Intel product, even if I have to pay more for an alternative.

I just installed Fedora Core 14 on my GMA500 notebook. After a rather lengthy poulsbo driver installation, I now have native resolution, but poor performance. Each PageUp in firefox takes about 5 seconds. I guess this is still the same problem, poor support of this GMA500 chipset. It seems that Intel is never going to provide a solution for GMA500 users, and just wait for it to become obsolete. That's too bad. I will be more careful next time I buy a PC.

WAY TO GO INTEL!!! Almost as bad as Microsoft. Must be feeding money between yourself and big Bill with this Intel GMA 500 chipset that will not work with Linux. Trying to keep only windows on Intel based netbooks?

Its a shame!

I was a big fan of Intel until this outrage. I guess my next small business servers, workstation, laptop, and netbook will all be AMD based. You lost my loyalty.

Way to go, indeed. I really hope ARM speeds up its notebook market penetration.
