Intel Graphics Driver not staying installed

When opening/signing into valorant I'm getting a warning that my current installed version of my graphics drivers (27.20.100.8935) is known to have issues and prompts me to download/install a more recent version. Checking my intel graphics software, it shows the problematic version of the driver as up to date with the release date being from 2020. Following the redirect I'm promted to download and install the latest version (32.0.010.7029) which i have tried multiple times with temporary or no change. Download will sometimes show up in the intel graphics software assistant but within a day after restarting my laptop, it will revert back to the previous version from 2020.

My CPU is the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 @ 2.40 GHz 8M chache and have Intel iRIS Xe graphics. Im operating on Windows 10 22H2 and I've triple checked that the drivers I was trying to install were compatible with my intel products and windows version.

I don't understand why it will show as installed and work as though it is for only a few hours before reverting as if I never installed it.

Accepting any advice/help :]

Hello SnailMiata,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with the graphics driver as it keeps rolling back to the previous version. To further troubleshoot the issue, kindly follow the outlined steps below.

1. Download the appropriate driver for your system from the appropriate link below:

Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics - Windows

2. Click the Download button to download the .exe file.

3. Run the downloaded .exe.

4. During the installation process, when you reach the Install stage, click the Customize button.

5. Make sure not to enable the Execute a clean installation check box.

6. After finishing the driver installation, click the Optional reboot button.

@SnailMiata   You are in the middle of an Intel/Microsoft problem regarding version numbers that Intel refuses to fix or correct with Microsoft.

Download and install the driver you want.

Then, immediately, run the wuShowHide utility (attached) and block/hide the driver that windows update wants to install.
