Hello RichardP

Thank you for your response.

Based on the Intel® SSU report, we noticed that the system is running the graphics driver version 30.0.101.1069, and this is actually the latest Intel® Generic Graphics driver available on our Download Center, which is compatible with the Intel® Pentium® Processor N4200. The download link for this driver is below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html

The latest Intel Graphics BETA DCH Driver Version 30.0.101.1121 can be found on our Download Center following this link:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19387/intel-graphics-beta-windows-dch-drivers.html

However, reviewing the link that you provided, we noticed that the website Ark "Product Specifications" is showing different (older) versions:

  • Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers Version 30.0.100.9955
  • Intel® Graphics - BETA Windows* DCH Drivers Version: 30.0.100.9894

Is this difference in the versions regarding your inquiry? Is this the inquiry/issue that you have?

In regards to your previous questions, we would like to inform you that BETA drivers are for targeted testing of the changes indicated in the Release Notes. For the most stable experience, users should use the fully validated production driver releases here (e.g.: 30.0.101.1069) that include the full measure of qualified fixes and features. However, it is important to note that those are "generic drivers".

The driver or software for your Intel® component might have been changed or replaced by the computer manufacturer (OEM) and installing those Intel generic graphics drivers will overwrite your OEM customized driver. OEM drivers are handpicked and include customized features and solutions to platform-specific issues. The generic Intel driver provides users the latest and greatest feature enhancements and bug fixes that OEMs may not have customized yet to address platform-specific needs. Users can check for matching OEM versions at OEM websites.

The generic driver's intention is to temporally test new features, game enhancements, or check if an issue is resolved. Once testing is complete Intel advises reinstalling the OEM driver and checking with the OEM for newer validated releases of their own version. Therefore, if the system is working properly and under normal operation, the recommendation is to use the OEM drivers as the first option.

You may find the latest customized drivers for your system at the following link: ASUS Vivobook Flip 12 TP203NAH*

If you are not experiencing any specific issue, our recommendation is to keep using the OEM driver from ASUS* (e.g.: Version V27.20.100.8682) or as a second option the Generic driver from Intel® (non-BETA) version 30.0.101.1069.

Finally, we Intel® Customer Support don't have visibility about plans, ETAs, or decisions about future releases (including BETA drivers). Our team is constantly working to provide new versions of our products and services and to improve them, including drivers in order to address new features and fixes. We recommend staying tuned with the latest news and checking our official websites, for instance, the Download Center.

We hope this clarifies your inquiries. For additional concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us back.

Best regards,

Hello @RichardP

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities and we do apologize for the late response.

In order to provide you with the proper information, could you please share with us the following details?

1- When you said "(...) I search the latest version of my drivers it shows BETA Drivers again (...)", where are you looking for drivers? Is it on the Intel® Download Center website? Could you please share a link or screenshot as a reference? Or are you using a tool like Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA)? Please provide details.

2- Is there any particular reason why you are interested in updating the driver using one of the Intel's generic drivers?

3- Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system:

  • Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer
  • Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
  • To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
  • Once you have saved the file (.txt file), please attach it to your reply.

To upload and attach a file, use the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" option below the response textbox.

Hello RichardP

We noticed that our last response has been selected as "Solution" and the thread has been marked as "Solved". In this case and since there are no more questions in the thread, we will proceed to close this inquiry now.

Note: We will send to the relevant department the feedback about the "different (older) versions" shown on the website Ark "Product Specifications". However, we would like to mention that once the driver's download link is clicked on that website, it is indeed taking to the latest version available.

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored. It has been a pleasure to assist you.
