I've searched the forum and have tried quite a few of the recommended fixes but still having issue.
I have an HP Envy dv6 notebook (serial number 2CE2422WC2/ product number C2L47UA# ABA) running Windows 8.1. For over 2 years until this past weekend I was using my Sharp TV as a monitor via HDMI. It will display during a portion of the boot-up sequence but disables as windows starts. I did not do any updates or install any new software so to me this is a phantom issue.
Included is a copy of the Dxdiag

Hello Alex_C:
Thank you very much for joining the Intel® graphics communities.
Thank you very much for providing that information, we really appreciate that.
Since this same configuration was working for 2 years and all of sudden is not working, what we recommend first is make sure that all the components are properly connected and if it is possible to try to reset them.
Did you try to disconnect the TV from the outlet for about 5 minutes and then test it with the notebook again?
Did you try to disconnect the HDMI cable from the notebook and TV and then reconnect it?
Most of the TVs have more than one HDMI port, so did you try to connect the HDMI to a different HDMI port on the TV?
Do you have the option to use a different HDMI cable?
In regard to the graphics drivers, we always recommend to use the drivers provided by the manufacturer, but for some reason on HP's web site there are no drivers available for the notebook:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-dv6-Notebook-PC-series/5296055/model/5312226 http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-dv6-Notebook-PC-series/5296055/model/5312226
Now, we can always try to install the Intel graphics drivers, but remember that those drivers are generic, meaning they may or may not work with your system:
Driver 4425, latest:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25977/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25977/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499
Or we can try to install driver 4358:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499
Please let me know the results of trying the steps above.
Any further questions please let me know.
Regards
Alberto
