I have a i5 3570 with a intel hd 2500 video card and when i plug in my dp cord to use my intel video the video and sound works till i change my resolution then my sound cuts out but my video still works, i am using a dp to hdmi converter
anyone else have this problem or have any solutions

We can't do any kind of analysis with the scant information that you have provided. What specific display(s) are you connecting? How physically are you connecting them? Which DP-to-HDMI converter are you using? Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update available for this converter? [even if it's a cable, there may be updates]

im connecting my pc to a konica 42" tv using a 4k ultra hd generic dp to hdmi converter which is about the size of a memory stick with no brands or number on it
