Intel HD 3000 Crashes randomly

Hello guys,

I have bought a new PC recently, but it keeps freezing occasionally. I am no pro with computers but the way it freezes seems like a Video Card or RAM problem. Strangely enough there is no problem with the PC when I stick an external video card and the freeze happens only when I use the internal HD 3000 on my PC.

The configuration is as follows :

Motherboard : GB GA-Z68M s.1155

Processor : Intel I5-2500K 3.3GHz BOX 1155

RAM: RAM KIT 2x4GB1600 A-DATA

HDD: 1TB WD SATA III 64 MB GREEN

Power Supply : FORTRON FPS 700 - 700 WATT

Any Ideas ... what could be wrong - is it a faulty memory block or perhaps the built-in video ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the tip,

Apparently the rest of the hardware supports the ram clock, and when using external video card it is not a problem for the ram to be at 1600 MHZ, but using the built-in card requires a ram frequency of 1333 MHZ.

I've set that 3 days ago and so far there are no crashes or problems of any kind.

Thanks Allan for the fast and correct response!
