I have a Lenovo T420 that is capable to have a resolution of 1600 x 900. It is running on Windows 10 using Intel (R) HD 3000 . Recently, I plugged this laptop to the TV to watch a DVD. After that the laptop resolution has been reset to max 1024 x 768. I tried many different ways, reinstall intel drivers (9.17.10.3347),  windows, it remains the same. Would you please advise the suitable driver to fix the problem?

Sorry, your processor and graphics are not supported on windows 10.  Also, there is no Intel driver for your graphics for windows 10.  All you have is the Microsoft generic driver, which lacks features and performance.
