Intel HD 4000 BSOD: dpc_watchdog_violation and driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (idkmd60.sys) FIX

When I run any 3D game that I have I get either dpc_watchdog_violation or driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (idkmd60.sys) BSOD.

More often dpc but occasionally irql. I want to have neither with the amazing fix you are about to post, thanks in advanced.

I would reset my PC but I had this error reset my PC and it worked fine for about 2 weeks and than I got an additional blue screen (the irql), so that ruined that fix.

I have done about everything i could find, I literally was translating German to try to find a fix.

The 2 things I want to try but can not currently:

-reinstalling the Intel HD drivers meant for the PC but apparently I can only download the newest one from Intel and my pc is not compatible with this software and for whatever reason HP offers ADM and 2 HDMI drivers on the site for my PC yet not the one driver they should, the damn Intel 4000 driver for there laptop. Honestly I don't feel like downloading old Intel drivers off some shady site so I did not try looking.

-Manually replacing the files... a link would be most appreciated for I can not find one.

My PC: Windows 8.1 HP 2000-2d22DX notebook PC (energy star)

Hello benastan,

I am sorry you are having problems with the system.

I recommend you uninstalling the current driver you have and install the latest one that can be downloaded here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23714 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23714

You can follow the steps mentioned here:

/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542

Another good step is to update the BIOS and other driver provided by the Computer Manufacture.
