Intel HD 4000 freezes my PC with a static/buzzing noise

Hi there,

My current graphic card is being fixed (HD 7970) so for the time being I'm using the Intel HD 4000. Playing games with the Intel HD 4000 would cause my computer to freeze completely followed with a static/buzzing noise made from the speaker. This only happens when I'm in the game for approximately 15-30 minute. I'm not very tech-savvy but any help would be appreciated. Thanks and also I'll post the dxdiag log below.

Hi Frits,

I am sorry you are having problems with the system but let me help you with this.

Checking the dxdiag report I see you have the latest graphics driver installed but there is something I want to confirm with you. Are you playing the games with full video settings or did you set a low configuration?

Hi,

I'm playing the game mostly all on low configuration except for the resolution which is on 1920x1080. The game I'm playing is Dota 2 and League of Legends. The game run fine at 60 FPS and above and I even tried running the game on a lower resolution but the freeze still happens. Also, yes I did update the driver to the latest version hoping to fix the problem but alas it did nothing.

Thanks.

@frits-

Do you run the games in full screen mode or windowed mode?

What resolution/refresh rate is your desktop running at?

I have a feeling that you have left the driver with your old graphics card today and this is the problem remove the driver completely and then let me again detects the driver and then install them again.

test it

Luck.
