Does anyone know how to fix/workaround for the graphic issue in World War Z game?

The map is flickering, the game is playable, just this graphic issue that makes me uncomfortable playing.

Intel HD 4400 doesn't have this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-3iW24Mr8I&t=3s

UPDATE:

I tested the game with all old drivers available, I had the same issue:

  • 4256
  • 4474 (Beta)
  • 4642 (My laptop installs this version automatically when the driver is removed)
  • 4624
  • 4703
  • 4835
  • 4963
  • 5058
  • 5063 (latest version)

Try different drivers from this list

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86210/Intel-HD-Graphics-5500

Select OS from right pull-down menu. Hit "show more".

Otherwise ask the other user, which driver version he used.

Hello Djalma Lima, Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities. First, I would like to mention that the only thing I found in the reports you have attached is that your Windows* build is not the latest, please proceed to install the latest Windows build, refer to the link below: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 * Please be aware that the content on that site is not controlled by Intel*. This information is offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel* for the merchants or services offered there. * Now, regarding your question about the graphics driver re-installation, the steps you are following are correct; however, you need to disconnect the system from the internet to avoid getting a graphics adapter update from Windows* updater. Hi David, thanks for replying.

I updated my Windows build to the latest (1809), I had the same error with World War Z.

Is there anything else I can do?

Hello Djalma Lima, Thank you for your response. Try lowering the graphics settings and also, if possible, turn on the V-Sync to see if this improves the issue you are getting. You can also try re-installing the latest graphics driver cleanly. Follow the steps below: 1 - Download the .zip driver from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28662/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?product=86210 2 - Disconnect the computer from the internet.  3 - Go to device manager and check under display adapters. 4 - Right-click on the Intel ® Integrated Graphics, select the option uninstall and keep going until you only have Microsoft's basic display adapter. 5 - Unzip the file you downloaded previously. 6 - Right-click on the Microsoft's basic display adapter and select "Update driver". 7 - Select the option "Browse my computer for driver software. 8 - Select the option "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".  9 - Select the option "Have disk". 10 - Select the option "Browse". 11 - Access the designated location or folder where you unzipped the driver downloaded and access a folder called "Graphics".  12 - Select the setup information file (Typically named either "idglh64" or "igdlh"). 13 - Click on open and then click OK, finally click Next and the drivers will begin to install.  14 - Reboot your computer when the installation is completed. If these steps do not help then try looking for the minimum requirements for the game, you can also try contacting the developers to see if they have a work around for this. I already did that before, I had the same problem.

I opened a topic on developers forum and looks like they are investigating the problem: https://forums.focus-home.com/topic/38156/graphic-errors-on-igpu-intel-hd-5500
