Intel HD 630 - APC_INDEX_MISMATCH - igdkmd645.sys

Hi community.

I am experiencing a BSOD on my Optiplex 3050 with Intel i5-7500 CPU (HD Graphics 630).

Connected are two identical monitors LG 23EA53. One via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort.

The actual driver is the 23.20.16.4901, but I also tried the one that DELL offers and the one that is provided by Microsoft update.

Another member told to try an older version of the driver, but every driver results in the same BSOD.

OS is Windows 10 Pro x64.

I set the energy setting not to switch the monitors neither the system off. Only when I shut it down.

It is strange, because even with those settings, sometines the system turns the monitors off. And on turning them back on moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard the BSOD occurs.

What I noticed, is that the BSOD occurs often when I move files. Sometimes I have to leave the system doing the backup and when I come back the monitors are off. O turning them back on, the BSOD occurs and I have to restart the job.

Already tried reinstalling windows with every driver mentioned above, but nothing helps. The error continues.

Hope you can help me on this issue, people. I need to get the system stable.

Regards!! And thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for your reply!

I took so long to answer because I was testing the settings.

Unfortunately the BSOD occured one time since your post.

At first I thought the problem was solved disabling the services.

Anyone else with this issue? I read a bit in this forum and in other ones, and it seems there are some more users experiencing this.

Maybe a driver update? I also checked CPU, RAM and HDD, but they are 100% running fine with no errors.

Thanks again!

I am having the exact same issue as you Doc.John,

I have found that if i only run 1 monitor instead of 2 from either port type (HDMI or DVI in my case) the system works fine, so if you need to use the system until Intel finds a fix just unplug one of the monitors from the back of the computer.

I only get the error when running dual monitors (doesn't matter if I run them both HDMI or 1 DVI/1 HDMI).

I also have tested old drivers, newest driver, CPU, RAM, HDD, and everything else I can come up with.

It seems like the driver itself needs to be updated.

Please let us know Intel! Thank you!

It seems like the driver itself needs to be updated.

Here are some newer drivers for testing:

23.20.16.4905

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27466/eng/GFX_Win10_64_15.60.2.4905.zip

23.20.16.4933

To bypass message "best driver is already installed", "customized computer manufacturer driver" or "computer is not validated" install driver via have disk method as described at:

Stefan3D,

Driver version 23.20.16.4905 did not fix the situation.

However, so far it seems like driver version 23.20.16.4933 has actually solved the problem for me. I will respond again in a week to let you know if it is still working properly.

Thank you so much for letting me know about those beta drivers, any idea when they will officially go live?

Doc.John,

Definitely download and try the second driver that Stefan3D recommended.

23.20.16.4933

Hopefully it works for you too.

From my understanding all drivers from Microsoft are WHQL, no betas there.

Check it with DXDIAG.EXE, i have no Gen9 iGPU handy for testing.

Intel just released a new driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27484/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-65-?product=98909 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.65]

The 4933 was tested, and no bluescreens occured during testing.

Now I will give 4944 a chance and get back to you in a few days.

I have the new driver installed and since then, no BSODs anymore.

Seems the problem is fixed.

Thanks Stefan3D for sharing the link to the driver that fixed it.

And thanks to all others, that helped investigating this issue!

Very kind regards!
