Intel HD Graphics 3000 Issue

Everytime I install a driver for my Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphic card and reboot i get a pitch black screen, the sound is still present but no logon menu, so i need to boot into safe mode and uninstall the driver. Im using a Lenovo G580 20150 with Windows Vista and 7 on it (i'm having issues with Vista). So can I get any help? It's not necessery, but I'd like to have the driver. Sorry, but vista, and windows 7, and your graphics are no longer supported.
