I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 with integrated graphics Intel HD 4600 and i5 4570 processor, Windows 7 SP1 64 bit and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2. When I try to open Intel Graphics Control Panel GfxUIEx.exe crashes. I've downloaded and installed the lastest drivers from Lenovo and Intel to no avail. It seems a .net framework issue but I can't find prerequisites for this driver.
These are the Eventlog Application errors:

Hello Ramiro, I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you have faced with your system.
This seems to be a register issue, and this kind of behavior could be cause by a Windows updated.
The suggestion I can give you are the following:
- Check if you can restore your computer to the last working state by choosing "System Restore" once you're in Windows.
- If the issue persisted, you can try by uninstalling the Intel® HD Graphics. http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm Graphics — Uninstalling the Intel® Graphics Driver and Intel Display/HDMI Audio Driver
- Restart your system.
- Install the latest graphics drivers available for your system. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885 Intel® Download Center
We always recommend customers using the latest drivers provided directly by your motherboard or Original Equipment Manufacturer. However, you may try our drivers and force the installation by performing a manual procedure. Please check the following URL: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Graphics Drivers — Computer manufacturer graphics driver detected
If the problem continues, it will be necessary to reinstall Windows from scratch.

I've got the exact same Error, and reinstalling the driver didn't helped.
But here is my solution:
Go to C:\windows\system32 and delete the config file: GfxUIEx.exe.config
Everything is working now, even without a restart.

Thialf,
I registered an account just to thank you for sharing this, and, alhough its been a while since your post, I feel that it is important to give thanks where thanks is deserved, no matter how much time has past.
I've been having this issue for months on my ASUS VivoBook and the only "help" I've been able to get from Intel or ASUS Reps was "try uninstalling and then reinstalling the newest version of the graphics driver." even after informing them that I have try this already, and every time I would follow their instruction in hope that this time it may just work. It never did.
And here's where you come in, because out of sheer curiosity I thought, "I'll check again to see if any one who won't just give me the equivalent of 'try turning it off and on again' has found an actual fix." I saw your post and after taking the 30 seconds to find and delete the aforementioned config file, you managed to do what no less than 12 different Reps from Intel and ASUS (3 and 9, respectively) could not, fix the crashing of my GfxUiEx.exe. Now once again, my laptop can be micro managed to seemingly insignificant levels, just the way I like it.
Thanks again,
Eathu
