Intel HD graphics driver for Compaq after clean install of 8.1

I did a clean install of 8.1 on a compaq 15-a003ea and whilst it should have Intel HD graphics, the device manager shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and I can't seem to update the driver. I have downloaded what I believe to be the latest file from Intel but when I try to load it, I get a message saying that it is not supported by this version of Windows. Any ideas?
