Hello, I am getting an odd kind of flickering on my Lenovo Y510p laptop. It typically encompasses only the right half of the screen with horizontal lines, discolouration, grayness in certain areas, and occurs most often during high-memory applications and screens that are predominately black. My GPU monitoring program shows the intel 4600 goes crazy whenever the flickering starts.
I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem because of how it reacts to applications. It very well could be.

Hi Rogan
The issue sounds like a hardware issue from what you describe. Have you contacted Lenovo technical support? You may want to provide them with a video of the issue to help with the investigation
Thanks

Hello Quomp,
As Robert_U mentioned, this could be a hardware issue but from our side you can try the latest driver we have available for your graphics controller.
Here it can be downloaded:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24245&lang=eng&ProdId=3720 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24245&lang=eng&ProdId=3720
If you have problems during the installation of the driver, try the steps mentioned here:
/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542
If issue persists, I think it would be a good idea to contact Lenovo for them to take a look into the hardware.
