I have an Asus K55A with an Intel core i5 processor.
I installed windows 8.1 today and now my graphics adapter's driver is crashed. I cannot view multiple monitors or adjust my screen resolution settings as it is defaulting to the default microsoft driver.
I have updated to Driver Version:
10.18.10.3316
I still get this notice in the device manager:
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Object Name not found.
Can anyone advise, as I MUST have multiple monitors for work.
Thanks

I just realized that this was for Intel(R) Graphics HD 4000. However, I have the second gen Intel(R) Graphics HD 3000.
Is there any plan to release a new beta driver for HD 3000 ?

Hi Kevin,
I am experiencing trouble with my dual monitor which is connected to my lenovo x1 carbon via a vga to mini display port adapter. Since updating to win 8.1 the external monitor is deteced by the system but on wake up after sleep it is completely black, but active - screen is lit. Sometimes the problem is solved when restarting the system or just by unplugging and replugging the monitor, unfortunatly way to seldom.
I have tried all the suggest drivers in this thread as well as the latest one you are suggestig here, but it still doesn't work.
This is starting to be really irretating as my job requires me to connect to projectors and external screens 80% of the time! I would therefore be thankful for any kind of help.

The new driver won't install on my ASUS N56VJ and I am told to use whatever driver is available on the ASUS Support site. That's an older version that is supposedly for Win 8.1.
Anyway, that's now a mute point for me.
I had reported that the HP Wireless TV Connect device would not work with 8.1, although it worked with 8.0, 7, and Android systems. Naturally, I figured it must be the Intel 4000 driver because there were so many other users with the HP product and the Negear PVT3000 etc. reporting similar problems.
Anyway, for those on this forum who also could not make the HP device work with 8.1, here's a workaround:
1. Go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel
2. In the Unspecified section double click on the HP Wireless Video Transmitter icon
3. Click on Hardware tab, then on HID Compliant Vendor Defined Device, then Properties
4. In the General tab section, click on Change Settings
5. In the Driver section, click on Disable. You will get a warming message. REply Yes.
The HP will now be reported as disabled. Fine. But it will now work.
When you later select where to project the desktop, use the Fn-F8 key combo and choose either Extended or Second Screen Only. Duplicate may not work. If your laptop has an integrated intel 4000 and Nvidia GPU combo, use the NVIDIA Control Panel to select both monitors and then Clone them via the right-click method.

Issues with Intel HD Graphics (R) 4000 Windows 7 Core i7
My issues began with GoPro Studio, The file could not be saved to my hard drive and I received CODE: Error 30
I looked everywhere and the best that I could find was to uninstall the Intel (R) Graphics 4000 driver and then reinstall it, easy right?\\
The new file from Intel would not compete the install many times.
I tried the Dell file, the Microsoft file, installing in order from Dell Chipset HD Graphics and add in and nothing will install a new driver.
My laptop monitor is working but my 2 LED monitors are not.
I have used the VGA, HDMI, DVI cables, installed the HP Monitor software but still nothing
Is there any help out there? I have not tried the Beta version yet but this has gone on for 4 days and I really need to fix this issue.
Thanks
