Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics not supporting a 75hz Monitor

So, I am trying to connect my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5510) which is using Intel (R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics. The laptop's screen is 60hz and 1080p so never ran into this issue before but now I bought an external 1440p & 75Hz monitor. The 1440p part is working fine but the monitor seems to be locked at 60Hz only. Since my laptop has no DPI to DPI port, I am using HDMI to HDMI (the hdmi is 2.1). Will using an hdmi to dpi convertor fix this issue or what else should I do?

Hello Reyyan,

Thank you for posting on the Intel®️ communities. I see that you are having resolution issues with your Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, I understand how frustrating this can be. I will be happy to help you.

We do not recommend using video adapters/converters/docking stations, this may cause compatibility issues.
