This problem with trashed text marked in red appears only when using Intel iGPU with this game, it never happens if I force Windows 11 25H2 to use dGPU (NVidia 4090 laptop with driver 581.08):

The game is Project X: Light Years and uses as game engine: Phaser (into  Electron runtime).

It seems the game engine is Phaser 2.

Hello hexaae,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

  1. Was it working fine before?
  2. If yes, what was the last change in the system before the issue started?
  3. What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried before?
  4. For me to review the hardware and the installed drivers, please help generate the SSU logs of your system. Kindly refer to the link below for the steps:

How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

1: always happened with Project X Light Years game

3: no fonts trashed if I force the game to run on dGPU instead (NVidia 4090 laptop with 581.08 drivers)
4: Intel SSU log file (will expire in 1 week)

FYI, the game developer told me the game engine is based on:
Phaser 2 CE and Electron 39

Hello hexaae,

Thank you for quick update.

Before we proceed, let me share this:

We want to inform you about an important update regarding Intel graphics support. Starting September 19, 2025, Intel will transition the 11th to 14th Gen Intel Processor Graphics, along with related Intel Atom®, Pentium®, and Celeron® processor graphics, to a legacy software support model.

Under this new model:

  • Intel will continue to provide software support focused on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only.
  • Software updates for these products will be released quarterly, with additional critical updates as needed.
  • Only critical fixes and security vulnerabilities will be addressed in these quarterly driver releases.

Please note that if a fix is developed by our team, it will be included only in drivers for Intel Ultra Core Series 1 or newer processors and will not be available for your current graphics card driver.

We would like to know if you wish to continue receiving support under this legacy model.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Michael L.

This means iGPU for i9-13980HX won't benefit from gfx drivers updates and will only receive security patches?

Basically you offer no support for a 2023 (2 years ago) processor's iGPU, right?

That's bad and will avoid Intel in the future given the bad and too short support.

Hello hexaae,

Thank you for quick reply.

I really apologize if you feel that way.

Let me clarify that Intel will continue to fix the reported issues however it will only be implemented on the Intel core ultra and newer.

Additionally based on my assessment, the game is outside the system requirements set by the developer. It would be best to consult with the game developer if they will be adding support for your iGPU. As per the system requirements, the game is requiring at least GTX 1060 or better.

Since moving forward, you need to contact the game developer, I need to close this inquiry.

If you need further assistance, please post a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Thank you and have a great day.

Best regards,

Apart from that font glitch the game runs perfectly fine at 240fps on i9-13980HX iGPU.
I'm in touch with the developer and we concluded it's an Intel only issue out of his control.

It's a shame honestly you don't support your products anymore after just 2-3 years as your competitors do for a much longer range.
