Good evening to all. I have an issue with my graphics card (B580)
I just realize the fans no longer spin.

Hi BrianPDMI,

Thank you for posting in our Community. To help me pinpoint the root cause, could you share a bit more information?

  • Do the fans spin at all during startup, or have they stopped completely?

  • Have you encountered any error messages, unusual temperatures, or performance issues while using the GPU?

  • Is the graphics card showing up correctly in Device Manager or Intel Arc Control?

  • Have there been any recent driver updates, hardware changes, or adjustments inside the system?

  • Could you double-check that all power connectors are securely attached?

  • Are the GPU’s LED lights turning on even though the fans remain still?

  • Does the system power cycle repeatedly with no display output?

I apologize for the number of questions, but sometimes pinpointing the cause requires exploring various factors. Once I have these details, I can narrow this down and get your system back on track.

good afternoon and thank you for your reply.
The lights are on
There are no error messages
The system does not shut down or have any other issues
The fans do not spin during startup
They do not come on at all.
The last time I did a driver update was about two months ago and honestly I did not check to see if the fans were on after that. Only when I was trying to clear out a piece of paper that blew into the cabinet yesterday I noticed the problem and watched from there on and no spinning at all.
I have not checked in device manager but will do so tomorrow when I return. The system is at my church so it is only used a few times a week
I am yet to learn about Intel arc control.
I read that the first thing to check would to unseat the card then reseat it and to check to be sure all components on the board are seated properly. This I checked and everything is seated properly.
Thank you once again.
