Intel hd graphics 520 no OpenGl support on windows 10

Hello there,

I have an Thinkpad E560 with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.60 GHz and I am using the Intel hd graphics 520 with Windows 10. Somehow Open Gl isn't working anymore.

So far I tried different drivers - those provided from Lenovo, those from Intel -, older and newer versions, but somehow I don't get OpenGl to run.

It just isn't there. Windows diagnostic tools found nothing.

Every little piece of help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Your HD 520 graphics support OpenGL 4.6.

If the lenovo supplied driver is not working, contact Lenovo support.

What does OpenGL Extensions Viewer say?

If it says OpenGL 1.1, then you are running the "Microsoft basic display driver". Usually because of code 43

It says nothing. As if there is no OpenGl.

It only shows Direct3D.

Hello mk1984, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

I just wanted to confirm if the problem with OpenGL persists and if you still need further assistance on this matter?

Looks like it has been a problem with the windows installation. Haven't been able to pinpoint the exact problem, a Windows 10 reinstall solved the problem, everything is working fine again.

Unfortunately I cannot give you any more information about it.

Thanks

Martin
