SoundHi
Hoping some Intel 'experts' will be reading this post.
MB - z87-ds3h.
Monitor S24c450 - DVI-D connection
LG LH4000 - HMDI connection.
A new computer, custom built of course, with I3 Haswell 4430.
The Intel GPU panel is at best amateurish and rubbish. Has anyone from Intel ever looked at their competitors, like ATI, and see how brilliant their software is for dealing with GPU.
Problems i have is similar to what ATI had 5 years ago and they did sort out the drivers issues. Now i am seeing the whole thing again plus more problems then i had 5 years ago. It does begs the question that if ATI dealt with HDMI issues long ago, why is Intel so far behind. It's beggars belief that i'd built a new computers and only to find Intel GPU has somewhat transported myself back 5 years, via TARDIS maybe.
Problems.
1. No HDMI sound. Plainly ridiculous. Found that i need to update my bios so i did it and the sound worked. I can see that Windows 7 64 can recognise my LG TV. Yippee..........until........something goes wrong, as outlines in the problems below. The audio no longer function with code 10 error in the Device manager - system devices - HDAC. If i start my computer then there is no sound. Ping Ping, 5 years old memories comes flooding back. Re-started my computer with TV on, connected to HDMI to PC, and the sound worked. ATI sorted that out 5 years ago by the way.
2. My monitor is 1920*1200 and clearly stated in the display panel and Intel GPU panel as main monitor extended with LG TV.(1920*1080 of course).
When i switched my TV to connect with PC, from normal TV channels, my monitor goes off and comes back on again 2-4 seconds later. The fonts have changed into some weird crappy font. Checked my panels and found that the resolution had changed itself from 1920*1200 to 1920*1080. Had to change it back to 1920*1200 myself to restore my monitor to it's original setting. For crying out loud, this is plainly ridiculous.
3. When all looked ok, i started to watch a program and KMPlayer comes on the LG TV........not before......repeat.....my monitor and TV goes off and comes back on again 2-4 seconds later. The fonts have changed into some weird crappy font. Checked my panels and found that the resolution had changed itself from 1920*1200 to 1920*1080. Had to change it back to 1920*1200 myself to restore my monitor to it's original setting. Oh lordy lord....ATI sorted that out 5 years ago.
4. Now after so much hassle i watched my program, with sound, but when i wanted to access my stop/play/rewind/etc functions, i can not access it. Turned out that i had to rescale my TV using GPU panel from 100 to 74. I do wonder why i need to do that when the output resolution matched my TV resolution. Although it is now solved, it should not have happened in the first place. Now i can relax in my reclining sofa and watch TV without any problems despite the fact that i have to go through so much hassle to get to my state of relaxation. When i finished watching a program.....oh dear...
5. Closing my KMplayer, my monitor and TV goes off and comes back on again 2-4 seconds later. The fonts have changed into some weird crappy font. Checked my panels and found that the resolution had changed itself from 1920*1200 to 1920*1080. Had to change it back to 1920*1200 myself to restore my monitor to it's original setting.....for the 3rd time......lordy lord.....my relaxation was very short-lived.
6. Turned off my TV, my monitor goes off and comes back on again 2-4 seconds later. The fonts have changed into some weird crappy font. Checked my panels and found that the resolution had changed itself from 1920*1200 to 1920*1080. Had to change it back to 1920*1200 myself to restore my monitor to it's original setting........aaarrrggghhhhhh.
ATI solved all the above problems that i experienced 5 years ago. Why has Intel not bothered. Now someone please give the CEO a kick up the backside and tell him to start earning his pay.
One more thing. I look at the device properties, can't remember which, and it said connection type for TV is HDMI, Jolly good, Looked at the monitor and it said connection type HDMI, not so jolly when it suppose to be DVI-D.
Yours most frustratedly,
Oh dear.

I am sorry to hear that have had issues with the Intel® Graphics Controller.
I appreciate your feedback on this matter. I will make sure your comment reaches the proper department for future consideration.
Did you test your system with the latest generic video driver?
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=4th+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600&ProdId=3720&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=4th+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600&ProdId=3720&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39
Please filter by operating system and try to install the driver when it finishes downloading, to verify that your system will accept it.

One more thing. When i turned off my TV and later turned it back on, the sound no longer worked.
Is there a temporary fix like creating a bat file that reloads the settings for my LG TV instead of having to restart my computer all the time.
Surely some computer geeks knows how. It would be most appreciated.

I am afraid, Intel does not provide batches or command lines, and I recommend waiting for future driver releases from either Intel site or your motherboard maker.

Major fail. Surely a temporary fix is better than waiting for Intel to come up with a solution that ATI solved 5 years ago.

Any fix yet.......loads of people having problems and waiting.
It's time to ask ATI how they fixed this 5 years ago.
Obviously your current programmers are clueless.

Latest version 3496 fixed none of the issues.
This is now becoming a joke.
Intel have sold products that do not function as intended. You have had over 3 months now to fix this and all the others on here who are in the same boat. I can not speak for others but i am now regretting ever buying this useless Intel CPU. I do not even know why i bother telling you as no one has the courtesy of replying to my post for over a month. That;s two things to bear in mind, useless CPU and useless customer's services.
Under British law products must be fit for its purpose and obviously Intel products are not.
So are you going to refund my money, not only the CPU but the motherboard as well as i can't exactly fit an AMD CPU on a Intel motherboard?
When i open the device manager there are two Intel display audio in the sounds, video, game controller and two high definition audio controller in the system devices. Now pay attention. When i change my TV from HDMI connection to normal TV, one of the intel display audio disappeared and a yellow triangle appeared on one of the high definition audio controller.(code 10 error) When i change my TV back to HDMI ( that for the purpose of course to watch programmes using KMplayer) the yellow triangle remained and the Intel display audio doesn't connect. The only way to connect is by leaving the TV on HDMI channel and restarting the computer, which is plainly ridiculous, annoying and time consuming. There is obviously a reconnection issue and i'm quite sure that this is the main cause of all my problems. Is there anyone employed by Intel capable of dealing with this?
Can those working for Intel get off their backside and start doing some work. Otherwise you might as well start refunding our money back.
It does begs the question, does Intel have a quality control department where the CPU are tested on various motherboards to see if the software worked before selling them? I suspect you don't. I suspect Intel just sell the CPU and wait for us poor consumers to do the testing and feeding Intel the problems.
Do have the courtesy of replying.

Gigabyte has released a bios update F3.
This update has fixed the sound issues that i was experiencing. I can now start Window without having to make sure my TV is on connected to the HDMI first. Also when i change my TV to normal TV and back to HDMI, the sound worked.
However the issues with resolution of my monitor changing from 1920 * 1200 to 1920 * 1080 is not fixed and the problems still persist.
Can Intel look into it.

This is a commonly known issue about Intel HD graphics, esp. in combination with Windows 8.
unsolved even with very latest driver.
---------------------
For me, Lenovo U310+ HD4000(win8), latest version 10.18.10.3496(dated 03.11, 2014).
Frankly speaking, it is not a technical issue, it is about marketing strategy and work ethic.

When i click on http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/index.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/index.html then click on football tab http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/index.html.....KMPlayer http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/index.html KMPlayer, when running, the video jumped to the end of the video. When i am not using KMPlayer, KMplayer starts up when i click on the football tab. Bizarre.
