Intel i5-4440 graphics

I have many questions.

1) Intel i-5 comes with Intel HD graphics 4600. Can we update it to Intel HD graphics 5000 or higher or just Intel HD graphics 4600 versions get updated?

2) I have recently downloaded the driver Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows 7/8.1* [15.36.28.4332] and installed it, but in dxdiag the version number that is shown is 10.18.14.4332. Is it supposed to be like this only. Also is the latest graphics driver for i5-4440.

3)Which driver is latest for i5-4440 processor, since intel driver utility is not showing any result?

4) While playing a specific game I am encountering an error->org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum (1280). Developers are saying it is caused by outdated or faulty drivers. Is there any way to solve this?

5)Finally I would request that if someone can play https://pokemmo.eu/downloads/ this game on i5-4440 series processor without any external graphics card. If it doesn't work on your computer then maybe it won't run on my PC also.

1. Correct just the Intel® HD Graphics 4600 versions get updated.
2. The 15.36.28.4332 and 10.18.14.4332 are the same version, the last 4 digits will indicate the driver version the rest of digits are for Intel reference.
3. At the following link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600 Drivers & Software you should be able to find the latest driver for your graphics controller.
4. What is the game that you are trying to play?
5. Have you tried running the game yourself?

1) Yes I tried to run the game.

2) The game I am referring to is a Pokemon MMO client named as PokeMMO, which is a very light game (19 MB). When I try to run it then a black screen pops and then it automatically closes after 2-3 seconds. In the error console it says org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum (1280). The game support staff says it is due to the fact that my graphics driver is faulty or is not able to run the game. So if you could test this game on a i5-4440, then I could know if my drivers are having issue or some other component.

3)Also I would like to know where I can find the latest i5-4440 processor drivers (not the graphics drivers). The most recent I see is of 2013.

Uninstall the Intel® HD Graphics and install it one more time following these steps http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html How to Manually Install a Driver in Microsoft Windows 8* or Windows....

The processor itself does not require a driver, what you might be referring is to the chipset driver which is the following https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility- Download Intel® Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility).

I installed the drivers manually as instructed but the game still does not run. But no issue, maybe there is some issue with my windows or java.

I was able to download the game, it requested to have Java updated but I was able to run the game. What exactly it the error that you get when you run the game?

Were you able to run the game on i5-4440 with graphics driver version 4332? On my PC when I launch the client then a black screen pops up and after 2-3 seconds it automatically closes. But when i look at the console log, it shows the following error.

org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum (1280)

at org.lwjgl.opengl.Util.checkGLError(Util.java:59)

The support staff of this game says it is due to some faulty graphics drivers. But since you are able to run it , then it must be some issue with windows or java in my PC.

What operating system are you using?

I was able to run the game on several platforms, I was able to run it on a http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2429033,00.asp Dell XPS 15 Touch (9530) Review & Rating | PCMag.com, note the processor graphics Intel® HD Graphics 4600 and the second on a http://ark.intel.com/products/75036/Intel-Core-i5-4430-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_20-GHz Intel® Core™ i5-4430 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.20 GHz) Specifications again note the processor graphics Intel® HD Graphics 4600. In both cases with the latest drivers on Windows® 10 and everything worked fine, was able to run the game without any issues.

I am using windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Its not that i want to play this game badly, but its just strange that a game like this can not run on my system.

Its still the same. Must be some problem regarding java or my windows. I just wanted to check that my drivers are latest and since yesterday I played GTA V on my computer, that means there is no problem in GPU or processor. Many many thanks for your help. You can close the thread if you wish.
