Hello DiegoM,
At this point Intel® has no plans to release a driver either for Win 8, Win 8.1 or Windows 10 for the First Generation Intel® HD graphics Controller.
You can check the Operating System compatibility at the following link:

Guys,
I completely understand your situation. At this point we have no information yet of a new release for First generation HD graphics controllers but you can be sure I will send your feedback to the appropriate department for future considerations.

When are updated First Generation HD Graphics for Windows 10 going to be released? The current ones: 8.15.10.2900 11/26/2012 are not fully compatible with Windows 10 despite being included in Windows Update. They currently have severe performance issues, crash upon returning from standby or the monitor powering down. Video playback is pixelated and drops frames regardless of the playback software. There is also video tearing when using Chrome, Firefox or Spartan.
With just over a month to go till Windows 10's release, a lot of people are going to be getting their upgrade notifications and reserving their upgrades but will be very disappointed when they have to revert back to Windows 7 because of the state of the graphics drivers.
Drivers need to be released for this platform otherwise you are going to have tons of customers with these issues when they upgrade.

I did read the first post. Dropping support for a system this quickly after release is not a good business practice. Windows 8 was only 2 years after Intel HD graphics Generation 1 was released. Please reconsider supporting Windows 10. Legacy is not 4 years after release either. All Core processors should still be supported at this point.

I have the same problem.
My Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.0 will not work with Windows 10.
Do you have an update for this one?
It is a WDDM, that's what Windows 10 needs, but it is not compatible at this time
For me it is very important. No other intel fits on my motherboard.
When there is no update I have to buy a new computer.

I have similar problem, my fantastic T410s with Intel HD graphic card 1st generation don't have a driver for Windows 10. I'm not sure why did you drop support for this chipset so quickly? It is not like Win 8 vs. 8.1 vs 10 are soooo different...
Please consider updating driver for Intel HD 1st generation. Unfortunately MS drivers dose not work well at all...
Thank you!
Andrzej
PS. Nvidia and AMD supports REALLY OLD hardware.

The graphics driver compatible with Microsoft® Windows 10 is provided with Microsoft® Windows. Please use the Windows Update application to update it.

Thank you for reply. I already did it already. Windows Update is providing old driver for Intel HD graphic card (which is made for Windows... 7!). Windows 8.1 did not have issues with it, but Windows 10 is crashing it during sleep/wake up of my laptop.
I really don't understand why Intel dropped support for 5 years old CPU/Integrated graphic card...
I would think that driver for Win 8.1 would not be THAT different then this for Win 10...

actually, that 2900 driver from Windows Update is for Windows 8 (build 9200), but I guess it also works in Windows 8.1 (build 9600).
I feel your pain. Intel really "low-balled" users that have 1st generation Intel HD Graphics hardware (whether desktop or laptop) by not making Windows 10 compatible drivers.
the sad part of using the drivers from Windows Update on Win8/Win8.1 is they only have "basic" graphics features. they're missing the CUI (common user interface) and OpenGL
control panel features that are included in the Vista/Win7 driver packages from the Intel web site. at least http://danielkawakami.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2014-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2015-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&max-results=6 this guy provided the "missing" apps for older Intel graphics hardware being used on Win8.

Hmm. When I get graphic driver error it tells me it driver for Windows 7. Is there ANY driver I could "force" to install on Windows 10? I don't care it it is "new", just no error...
I really don't understand all this "tech industry". Melinda and Bill are so "ecologically oriented"... but they don't support development of drivers for "old" computers?! Which ultimately force people to dispose off their computers... creating so much "tech garbage"!? There is PLENTY of old computers which could EASLY work with Win 10 but lack of few drivers makes them useless. Such a hypocrisy... Same with Intel (sorry guys!, but YOU did drop support for "old" GPU!)

Hello 81Andrzej,
Unfortunately that graphics controller that you have does not support that operating system so from our end we are unable to provide you with a workaround to "force" the driver or any other step to make it work. The most you can try is to search for drivers using Windows Update, but sadly we cannot assure a driver availability because of the fact that you already know (not supported integrated graphics).
My apologies for the inconvenience.
Warm regards,
marving_intel

You can pretty much give up all hope of Intel updating drivers for their older products; unlike AMD or Nvidia, Intel is only concerned with products of the latest generation or occasionally one generation old. You can always try uninstalling the drivers and try reinstalling them in Windows 7 compatibility mode (go to the installer's Properties and set it there), but that can only do so much. If that doesn't work, you're out of luck, I'm afraid.
On the other hand, Microsoft claims that drivers made for Windows Vista should function properly with Windows 8/8.1/10, so maybe it's a problem on their end. I've personally encountered no problems when running a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 on Windows 8.1 32-bit using their legacy Vista driver. Then again, I've never tried any apps from the Store (and don't plan to) so I can't say how well it would work there.
