Subject: URGENT: Critical Graphical Glitches (Black Block Flickering) in Days Gone on Intel Iris Xe – Newer Drivers Broken, No Fallback Option Available

Dear Intel Graphics Team,

I am writing to bring attention to a severe and persistent graphical issue affecting Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics when running Days Gone (developed by Bend Studio/SIE).

The Problem:
When playing the game, the screen is inundated with fatal black block flickering/texture corruption. This is not a minor artifact; it renders large portions of the environment unreadable and the game completely unplayable. This occurs regardless of in-game graphics settings (low/high, upscaling on/off).

Why This Needs Immediate Attention:
Unlike users with dedicated GPUs who can roll back drivers, Iris Xe users are trapped. As an integrated solution, we are forced to use the latest drivers provided via Intel DCH/Windows Update. There is no official, stable legacy branch for us to revert to. We are essentially locked into a broken state with no user-side workaround.

System Environment:

· Game: Days Gone (Unreal Engine 4)
· iGPU: Intel Iris Xe (Tiger Lake / Alder Lake variants)
· Driver Version: All recent drivers (31.0.101.xxxx and 32.0.101.xxxx) exhibit this issue.
· OS: Windows 10/11 (Latest updates)

Request:
Please prioritize validating this title. Whether this is a shader compilation issue, a memory management bug in the WDDM driver, or a specific Unreal Engine 4 incompatibility—it needs to be patched on Intel’s side. Users with 11th/12th Gen mobile platforms are currently unable to enjoy this title despite meeting or exceeding the minimum hardware requirements.

Call to Action:
Please provide acknowledgment of this bug and an estimated timeline for a driver fix. The Iris Xe is capable of running this game at playable framerates, but the current driver state makes it impossible.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a resolution.

Sincerely,
