Lacking driver for audio controller

I put a new ssd into a Cepter Ion CEIONI38128, and have been unable to find any drivers for the audio controller.

 

I checked the hardware id

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_34C8

Which in turn told me, it was a Ice Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller

Despite that, I have been able to locate the driver for it

Hope someone can help me

To further understand your situation I will be asking you several questions, this will help me identify the best possible resolution fit to your issue.


  1. Does the issue occur right after you install the new SSD, or does it happen when you update a driver or Windows?
  2. Are there any error messages?
  3. Are you using Linux or Windows? I found that the Ice Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller is related to Linux.
  4. When I looked up your laptop model, I couldn’t find any sound drivers on the manufacturer’s website. Have you contacted the manufacturer to inquire about the drivers for your laptop model?


Lastly, to better understand your entire system information, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This will generate a text file that compiles all your system information. You can follow this link for instructions and send the text file here. How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows. I am looking forward hearing back from you.
