When ever i play rivals my system begins to lag and my game runs slowly with 1 percent lows. I have a intel ARC b580 i5 12400 and my game is downloaded on a nvme ssd while playing the textures often dont load i get stuck with  single frames my game responds slowly i have tried reinstalling the game and also re install drivers i dont experiance this issue in other games such as fortnite or resident evil 9 but on marvel rivals my game operates very poorly.

I have attached a video of me trying to scroll through the settings and this happening as this also happens mid game as well

Hi Mohammd,

Thank you for posting in our Community. The issue appears to be isolated specifically to Marvel Rivals, as titles such as Fortnite and Resident Evil 9 are not showing the same behavior. I also appreciate you already performing troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling the game and reinstalling the graphics drivers. To help us further isolate the issue, could you please provide the following information:

  • What driver version is currently installed for your Intel Arc B580 graphics card?
  • Are you using the latest version of Marvel Rivals available through the game launcher/platform?
  • Does the issue occur immediately after launching the game, or only after playing for some time?
  • What graphics settings and resolution are currently configured in-game?
  • Have you tested lowering the texture quality or disabling features such as XeSS, ray tracing, or frame generation?
  • Are there any background applications running while gaming, such as overlays, recording software, or monitoring tools?
  • Have you monitored GPU and CPU temperatures/utilization while the issue is occurring?

Additionally, if possible, please share:

Once we have this information, I can continue investigating the behavior further and determine the best next steps.

Have a nice day!

The graphic settings i am using currently are xess i turned of frame gen and low latency and am on medium settings on which i get from 80 to 110 fps is stays mostly at 80 to 90 my game drivers and graphic drivers are the latest the issue begins occuring immediatly as soon as i boot up game and open it the screen often gets stuck for a few moment before loading in to the game which i then get low frams which gradually increase however even when siting idly in lobby the game often freezes for a few moments but does not shut down and and while my game is runing if i have google in the background i cant alt tab to open it the game does not let me do it instead the game get stuck same with when i press windows key i have tried lowering texture quality and disabling frame gen which does improve consistency slightly but issue remains same i am not using any monitoring tools or recording software or overlays i am aware off and after writeing this i will check throughly if i have any in the background which i may not have but that is unlikely

Hello Mohammd,

Thank you for providing detailed information about the issue and for already performing several troubleshooting steps, including driver reinstallation, adjusting in-game settings, and testing different configurations. I truly appreciate your effort in helping us narrow this down. Based on the behavior you described in Marvel Rivals such as stuttering, texture loading delays, freezing in menus, and reduced responsiveness even when idle. I would like to proceed with additional system-level troubleshooting steps to further isolate the cause. Please try the following steps when convenient:

  • Ensure Re-Size BAR (ReBAR) is enabled in BIOS
  • Update the BIOS to the latest version available from your OEM’s official website
  • Perform a clean installation of Intel graphics drivers using DDU (if not already done in a clean environment)
  • Reseat the Intel graphics card to ensure proper connection
  • Disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) in Windows settings
  • Disable Integrated Graphics (iGPU) from BIOS settings
  • Disable PCIe Power Management settings in BIOS
  • If the issue still persists after all steps above, perform a clean installation of the operating system (if possible) to rule out software-level corruption or configuration conflicts.

I understand this may feel extensive, but these steps will help me fully isolate whether the behavior is system-related, driver-related, or specific to the game environment.

Once you’ve had a chance to test these, please let me know the results so I can continue assisting you further and help move this toward a resolution.

Have a nice day!

Hello Mohammd,

Thank you for getting back to me and for sharing such a detailed update on what you’re experiencing. Since the issue appears to be isolated specifically to Marvel Rivals, while other demanding games are running normally, this may point more toward a game-specific performance issue, optimization conflict, or a recent update-related behavior rather than a system-wide hardware problem. That said, there are still a few system-level checks that would be helpful to confirm, if you haven’t already tried them:

  • Ensure Re-Size BAR (ReBAR) is enabled in BIOS
  • Confirm BIOS is updated to the latest version from your motherboard/OEM support page
  • Disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) in Windows settings
  • Disable Integrated Graphics (iGPU) in BIOS (if applicable)
  • Check PCIe power management settings in BIOS
  • If possible, perform a clean OS installation to rule out deeper software corruption

I understand some of these steps can be time-consuming, but they help us fully rule out system-level causes and isolate whether this is strictly game-related or tied to system configuration. Once you’ve had the chance to try or verify any of the above, please let me know the results. I’ll be here to continue assisting you and help get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Have a nice day!

hey so basically on rivals i enabled some optimisation settings and things you told me and whats basically going the game runs perfectly right now but i am experianceing crashes and now i also experiance crashes on the finals  however i have not experianced any crashes on fortnite which is runing perfectly . On marvel rivals the crash either occurs at the very start within 5 mins or whenever i alt tab and on teh finals it was crashing randomly which it never did as of right now no issues i have previously about the single fps are happening right now but i am now experiancing these issues

Hello Mohammd,

Thank you for the detailed update. I really appreciate you explaining the behavior across different games and scenarios. It helps a lot in narrowing things down.

Based on your current situation, I would like to proceed with a few additional checks to further isolate the cause of the crashes:

  • Please update your system BIOS to the latest FIa version from your motherboard support page
  • Kindly test again using the latest Intel Arc Graphics driver (version 32.0.101.8801)
  • After updating both BIOS and driver, please check if the issue still persists across Marvel Rivals and The Finals, especially during gameplay and when alt-tabbing.
  • Additionally, if possible, could you please capture a CapFrameX log during gameplay/testing where the crash occurs? ThThis will allow me to analyze performance metrics in more detail and identify any potential issues. Ideally, please share a CapFrameX file that includes at least 2-5 minutes of gameplay.

Thank you.

Hello Mohammd,

Thank you so much for taking the time to test everything out and share your findings. I really do appreciate it. It's great to hear that you were able to get through several games without any error messages, instability, or noticeable FPS drops. That's definitely an encouraging sign, and it sounds like the original issue has been resolved, which is wonderful news. That said, I'm truly sorry to hear that your system is no longer powering on. I can imagine how frustrating that must be, especially after things were looking up. A PSU failure is certainly an unexpected setback, and I hope you're able to get that sorted out smoothly.

Since the initial concern appears to have been addressed, I'll go ahead and close this thread for now. Please don't hesitate to reach out if anything else comes up or if you have any further questions down the road. I'll be more than happy to help.
