Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales visual glitch on 11 gen or newer UHD & Iris Xe Graphics

Dear Support Team,

First of all, thank you for your dedication and support to the customers. But here I am facing some problem. I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report a persistent graphics glitch of Miles Morales game that has been affecting my gameplay for a really very long time. The issue manifests as black and red particles appearing on the faces, bodies, and ears of both NPCs and the player character, particularly noticeable under certain lighting conditions and during cinematic sequences. I have also observed red glare or reflections on various surfaces such as walls, glass, and puddles in certain areas of the city, especially noticeable at night😖😣.

I have taken several troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue, including downgrading my video driver several times to no avail. Despite trying different versions of the driver, the glitch persists regardless of where I go or what activities I engage in within the game. I'm using Intel Core i5 11th gen Processor with UHD 730 integrated graphics and I can confirm that I am using the latest version of the graphics driver Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6793 launched on 9th May, 2025 and have updated the Miles Morales game to the latest final version 3.617.1 on Steam. Additionally, adjusting in-game settings has not resolved the issue, despite trying every option available. This problem only Shows on The Miles Morales title game but Marvel's Spider-Man game doesn't show this error. Before launching Miles Morales, the first Spider-Man title shows this same problem. But you've fixed this on your launched updated drivers. But it's been almost 3 years and you didn't fix the issue for Miles Morales game😞😞.

Please I hope you may consider this situation and solve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you very much❤️!

N.B: I have attached some pictures for your better understanding about the situation. Hope you'll check these out.

Yours faithfully,

Selim‌🙂

Hi Selimkaka,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

Does the issue occur only during cutscenes? Or does it also happen during regular gameplay or menus?

When did the issue start? Was it after a specific driver update or game patch?

Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?

Which gaming platform did you use to download the game?

Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Thank you for replying. As I've already told you before I've tried all the steps and possibilities you've mentioned. And this issue already been showing since the game launched globally. Not only during cutscenes but also happens during regular gameplay or I can say almost all time. It's not only my issue; the people like me who are holding UHD or IRIS XE integrated graphics holder also facing this issue.😐 If you open a voting pool for that you can clearly understand!!!

And I'm using the final STEAM release update of this game. Please note that this only happens into this title, not in the first Spider-Man game. Before launching this game, this same problem was occurred into the first title but  this was fixed after almost 3 years of long time by the recent launched drivers update. Why don't you please monitor the issue? If you want I can give you clips for a clear understanding if my provided snaps are not enough😣. Please note down and consider this. Again Thanks🙂

Hi Selimkaka,

Thank you for the update. I will look into this however, to fully understand your system configuration, please provide the SSU log. In line with this, please confirm if you've already did Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Okay, I'm confirming 100 percent that I've already did Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers .  And here's the SSU log files you've wanted for. I've attached along with some snaps. Please look ahead. Thanks, and also take action and give your update about that issue🙂

Do you want a video clip for a clear understanding of the issue? I'll provide that one too if you really want to....

There is nothing to do until Intel launch a fixed graphics driver. Please share this forum to the users who are also facing this issues so that they also can raise hand and point out to the Intel. I'm totally getting frustrated for that. It's almost 3 years since the game launched but they didn't fixed that at all, sadly😭

Ok, as you've said, I've given videos of both cutscene and gameplay. Sorry for no sounds due to record issue. It's the only way I've left to explain; hope these will make you understand crystal-clear☝️. Please watch them fully & take it seriously about it. I beg you for that😔. A great thanks for your continuous observation❤️

I've given you the Google Drive link cause the file sizes are large. Here it is:

Hi Selimkaka,

Based on the game's system requirements, it is recommended to use a discrete graphics card for optimal performance and graphics quality. This will ensure that you experience the game as intended, with smoother graphics and better overall performance.

Additionally, could you please share the game settings you are currently using with us? This will help us attempt to replicate the issue and provide more targeted assistance.

Thank you for the reply and the continuous monitoring❤️, but sorry to hear about what you've told😢.

I know that to play games without issue, we must need a dedicated GPU. But I want to point out something.

The first game Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered; when it came out first, same issue had occurred just like Miles Morales game. Then after 3 years of game launch, Intel had fixed it with their recent graphics driver updates.  And I had played and finished the game without any issue, and of course without discrete GPU, played the full game with my 11gen UHD 730 graphics.

And now the sequel launched; Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Same glitch issue, passed almost 3 years of time and still it's not fixed😓. Two games, same system requirements & configuration. One has been fixed by Intel but other one is still showing issue😔

After analyzing and testing I can surely state that the problem is only in your graphics driver software, not on my system. Not on that, I have tested on my friend's laptop having the Intel IRIS XE graphics;  which is more powerful than my GPU; also showing the same issue. If my provided videos and snaps are really not enough for you to make you understand, then it's disappointing for me.

Anyway, I'm extremely sorry if my words hurt. Apologize for that🙏. As you've wanted I've provided my game settings I'm currently using. I've attached the snaps you've wished for. Hope you care for it. Again thank you for giving time for this.

Hi Selimkaka,

I have replicated the issue using the same graphics card model you have and encountered similar issues, even with our latest graphics driver version 32.0.101.6795

However, when I tested the game using a discrete graphics card, such as our A750, the issue did not occur, even with the same driver version. This suggests that the problem may be related to the game's system requirements. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is designed to run optimally with a discrete or external graphics card, as integrated graphics may not meet the game's demands for optimal gameplay and graphics.

Given this information, I recommend contacting the game developer, Nixxes Software, for further insights and support. You can reach out to them through the following link: [https://support.nixxes.com/hc/en-us/articles/21444464489117-I-want-to-contact-Marvel-s-Spider-Man-Miles-Morales-PC-support].

With this, I will close this inquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
