Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset - issue with Windows 7 and Sony HDTV

I have an Intel 945 Express Chipset on an Intel Mac Mini where I have Windows 7 installed. I am unable to see the display on a Sony 1080p HDTV with the latest driver (8.15.10.1912 updated 9/11/2009).

If I uninstall that driver I am able to see a picture, though at a lower resolution.

Any idea why so, and what I can do to get the 1080p resolution?

Update: After starting in "Base Video Mode" I was able to get to a point where I can change the resolution in Windows 7. But whenever I click on "Apply" or "OK" the resolution would switch back to 800x600.

Something's up with the driver? Anything else I can try?
