Just got a new core i5-2300 machine and I love it except for a problem waking the monitor up from sleep. The monitor either will not wake up at all or wakes up with an incorrect resulution setting. Powering the monitor off and on usually corrects it but is a pain.
Gateway DX4850-27e computer with i5-2300
HD 2000 graphics
HP 2207 minitor plugged into the HDMI output port
I have updated the monitor driver from the HP site and the Graphics driver from the Intel site but neither have fixed the problem.
I have not tried connecting the monitor to a different output on the computer.
Any ideas?

I switched from the HDMI to the VGA output port and the problem goes away. The monitor wakes up fine using a std VGA connection.
Any ideas on how to fix the HDMI output signal?
