Found the error. I'm re-upping new files.
In the meantime, I verified that the zip files install correctly using setup.exe.

I have followed the steps you have provided on the sticky form. I am unable to replicate same problem.
I was able to project screen using my laptop with HD 4600 graphics and 4k monitor. The screen looks great.
I will try to ping the engineering department to see if they have seen same situation.

Hello Allan,
Did you try setting the projected screen to different resolutions? At 1920 x 1080, at least over here there is definitely a problem (just a hint: to enable changing to a different resolution on the WiDi display u need to switch from 'duplicated display' to 'extended'). The exact same machine running Win8 (I have a dual boot config) with latest Intel display driver is running fine on 1920 x 1080.
Thank u.

I have 2 laptops:
Windows 8.1 x64 laptop with an i7-4700MQ fails to install this new driver. I've tried it using the x64 exe and zip. In both of them it says "this PC does not have the minimum requirements".
Windows 10 x64 laptop with also an i7-4700MQ fails to install using the exe, but the zip works, or at least gets installed without errors and the version is updated. Nevertheless, I found this issue. When I updated the driver using the zip, the blurry letters in "Device Manager" disappeared. But when I restarted the laptop, they came back. So it's still blurry, as well as many windows, options and menus in Windows 10. This is incredibly annoying.
So please, fix the 8.1 x64 version, and fix blurry letters in Windows 10 as well.

I have been testing several monitors with different graphics controllers on Windows 10. I did not experience same situation you have described.
The computers I tried did not crash and I did not get any issue related to the graphics driver or graphics controller.

The color darkening and fuzzy texture still remains in this driver.
The workaround still works, but I think an official solution will be better.

Neither on Windows 8.1 AND Windows 10 x64 with Intel HD 4600 of an i7-4700MQ (only zip works in Windows 10). Will Intel ever release again a graphics driver that has no problems? I don't think so. Last one had a non-working link, previous one had the same issue, now this... Come on!

Note: Operating system support varies by platform. Please see the associated https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25274 ReadMe's for more details.
Edit: I updated the thread post adding a support matrix which details what's in the Readme for quick reference.
Your platform is not supported for Win8.1 with this driver, look for a '15.36' driver instead. For Win10, the exe's were corrupted. I've replaced them and verified they're working. If you need the exe, please redownload.

Hi Bryce@Intel,
are there any plans for a unified driver for Gen4/Gen5/Gen6 + Win7/8/10?
I am working for an OEM and our automated hardware detection/driver installation just work terrible when a driver has varying platform support.
Also if i filter in the download center for grafics driver "HD4600" and "Windows 8.1" i get the link to this driver which does not work for 8.1.
