I wonder the same thing.

Things are getting crappier and crappier when it comes to Intel software

10 years ago: Here is the software

5 years ago: Here is the software, the first release i beta, second is OK

3 years ago: Here is the software, the first 10 releases will be beta, but they will be delivered in a short timeframe

Now: Here is the software, it will have few and sparse releases, all of them beta, 'till you give up and start pretending the bugs aren't there.

Seriously... buy AMD. Don't listen to the tech websites and magazines who will "review" CPU and SoCs by playing around with some benchmark for 10 minutes, and think this is enough to recommend hardware to people they want their computer to work.

this shows the number of years a GPU is supported by its maker

GPU makerfull support legacy supporttotal supportIntel2 ( )1 (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25313/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-3rd-Gen-BYT- Download Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows® 7*, 8.1*, 10 (3rd Gen & BYT))3AMD6 (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 Desktop)3 (http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Driver-Support-for-AMD-Radeon%e2%84%a2-HD-4000%2c-HD-3000%2c-HD-2000-and-older-Series.aspx Driver Support for AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, HD 3000, HD 2000 and older Series)9Nvidia5 (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/92217/en-us NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL)4 (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/87987/en-us NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Windows 10 Driver)9

by full support I mean the GPU receives the same driver version number as newer gpus e.g AMD's latest driver supports HD5000 and up and the latest Nvidia driver supports 400 and up.

the performance of the driver is not improving as new versions are being created despite the number of GPU's being supported being reduced next year 4th Gen will not get any more drivers.

currently no Intel GPU supports openGL 4.5 or DirectX feature level 12.1 the Nvidia tegra X1 supports both.

I tried to install this on my Microsoft Surface 3 (not surface pro 3) running Atom X7-Z8700 CPU, it said my computer "doesn't meet the minimal requirement".

What should I install for Atom X7???

Last Driver 4300 is the same ...

I think the biggest problem is that the iGPU frequency is 0 (as HWiNFO64 reports) and if IE or other browser requires to do some more graphical intensive work till frequency goes up it detects that the graphic driver has crashed ...

On this and also on the new 4300 driver intel HD 530, if u open facebook in Internet explorer on windows 8.1, log in and scroll down with page down, sooner or later I get

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

and is not a memory problem because I tested it, and if I play any game or do benchmarks I don't have problems ... so there is crearly a problem somewhere in driver and maybe not the graphical one ( on software render I don't get this ).

Hi Ronin,

I'm not seeing the connection to the Appcrash to the Intel driver or anything Intel, could you help me connect the dots?

Application Name: IEXPLORE.EXE

In this MSFT page, a similar crash is seen and the user is advised to check with the vendor for the App Name:

Hello,

Excellent information, and thank you. However, mine is 3rd gen. i3 processor. Is there one for mine, or did I get it from Intel (R) driver update utility?

Hi.

I'm not sure where to post this, nor am I as technically minded that most of you appear to be, so please bare with me.

I've just purchased a new i7 NUC and have been downloading drivers et al. I have a 21:9 LG monitor connected by display cable, and after installing this update and rebooting, the monitor displays 'out of range'.

When booting in safe mode, the monitor will display to 2560x1080 with no problems. Am I doing something wrong? I've had to wind back this update. I'm sure I've done something wrong, as I've also downloaded Guild Wars 2 which, when I attempt to click 'play' states that it is unable to load initialise 3d and/or suggests DirectX9, which I've downloaded.

Please let me know if there's any additional information in order to help.

Thanks.

Tested beta driver 4326 on my i7 6700k and it seems that even if u set higher frequency multiplier in bios, the multiplier is locked to =<11.5.

Noticed some improvements on the problems i had.

Text-to-speech is not working properly in Windows 10 1511 with the beta driver and it is worse with the 4352 driver. It is working perfectly via the Realtek drivers but not with Intel HD Audio via HDMI connection to a TV.
