Not able to connect to extermal monitor (intel HD 4600, HMDI, Windows 10)

I'm not able to connect to an external monitor via hdmi. The notebook is Acer Aspire VN7-591G-770E and the monitor is acer n230hml. I installed Windows 10. Any suggestions?

Please tell us if this was and updrade from a prevoius windows version, if so which version, also was it working before windows 10?
