Overscan Issue and greyed out resolution connecting to my LCD TV with HMDI

I just tried to set up my computer to my Sanyo LCD TV using an HDMI cord and while it works, I have an overscan issue. When I try and fix the resolution the dropdown is greyed out.

I updated my graphics driver (Intel HD Graphics 2500) and have the new Intel control panel, but again there is only one resolution to choose from (1920x1080) and no scaling options. There seems to be no new information on this, especially for Windows 8.

Suggestions?
