Overscan in Windows 10

My Intel Chipset is G45/G43. I just updated my computer from Windows 7 64 Pro to Windows 10 64 Pro on Friday. My 2nd monitor is a Panasonic TCP42X1 Plasma HD TV set, with which I run movies from my Dell Studio Desktop, connected via an HDMI Cable. Until now, I was able to get around overscan on the TV set by using scaling in the Intel Graphics and Media Control Center. But I don't see that since I upgraded. How can I fix this?

I've run it several times. Windows Update is not finding any new updates for my computer.

The drivers you are running are develop from Microsoft, the Intel® G45 Express Chipset was launched since Q3'2008. the supported OS (operating system) are only Windows 7 and Windows 8.0.The latest drivers available in our Download center are just for Windows 7. Intel® will not release drivers for Windows 10.

So you're saying Windows 10 is not supported and there's nothing it can do about it?

Edit: Update, I looked at the drivers on that link, and I see a Windows 7 64 bit driver there with the number 15.17.19.64.2869, and

the date is listed as 11/16/2012. The one I have installed (per the device manager) is 8.15.10.2702, a lower number, but the date listed

(again per device manager) is 3/11/2013, a later date. I wonder if I should at least install the 15.17.19.64.2869 driver, but it may not make

any difference. Anyway, it's a shame Intel will not support their own product.

We are really sorry to give you the bad news but the latest supported Operating System for your graphics controller is Windows 7.

The version of the driver may change depending on the Operating System installed and other things. Here you can read about it:

Okay, I downloaded the driver and got a message "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software."

My chipset is Intel G43/ICHIO, which is probably the same as yours. I also have Windows 10 as well. My chipset is on an ASUS motherboard when I discovered I could load the support utilities.

If you go to Device Manager, change the View to "Resources by Type", then expand the option "Input/Output (I/O)". You'll see your chipset (Intel G43) near the bottom. On my computer, in parenthesis, you'll see "Microsoft Corporation -- WDDM 1.1)" The acronym stands for Windows Display Drivers Model. If you plug WDDM 1.1 into Google, look at the Wikipedia site and you'll notice that the 1.1 version of WDDM supports Windows Vista and Windows 7. Look down to version 2.0 and you'll see it supports Windows 10.

You'll need to consult your motherboard manufacture whether you can make the upgrade.
