Hi Intel team
Please help me with this frustrating issue:
I recently upgraded my gpu to the Arc 770 16GB OC edition.
I have had this weird issue where my pc screen freezes whenever I do a gpu intensive task like opening a game or opening premiere pro, or even running a bechmark.
When it happens i have to manually press, turn off my pc and restart when I want to use it again.
It doesn't happen every time, I have had session where I would play games and video edit for hours without it freezing but eventually is always does.
My specs:
Intel® Core™ i7-7820X CPU @ 3.60GHz
AUSUS PRIME X299-A Motherboard
64 GB Ram, running windows 11
1TB Samsung ssd
Intel driver: 31.0.101.5534

Hello WhiteAfrican,
Thank you for posting in the communities. As the Intel Arc A770 is the only recent change in your setup, I do want to ask, is your ReBar enabled in the BIOS? Please also list out the games/software that experiences the freezes so we can also check for common issues. Additionally, sharing your SSU logs will allow us to be more familiar with your configuration and check for possible errors.

Hi RamyerM
Thanks for coming back to me. ReBar is enabled on the BIOS. I tested and experienced the freeze on Call of duty - warzone, overwatch 2, warcraft 3, premiere pro and the bechmark test app called furmark.
I have gotten some comments and messages suggesting that it might be that my PSU is connected to my GPU with one 8pin that splits to 2 for the gpu.
I will be testing that next, just waiting for a psu cable then I will be running my gpu from 2 separate pci-e cables to see if that solves my problem.
I will report back to you here when I have done that to update.
Thanks
Juri

Hi Raymer
I tried connecting my GPU with a extra pci-e cable but it ended up not working. Pc wont start. Not sure if its a faulty cable or what, i did order another cable so will test that soon.
For now i am still empiercing the freez but its weird today and yesterday I had no freezes or problems so I am not sure what is the trigger.
I uploaded my system specs for you to check out.
hope to hear from you soon

Hello WhiteAfrican,
Thank you for responding back. For now I can confirm that you are using the latest driver 31.0.101.5590 which is good practice for the Intel Arc A770 that you have. As that is the case, it would be best to proceed with the troubleshooting steps.
Kindly please follow this article: Random Freezes and Crashes When Using the Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics Card
Let us know if the issue still persists after doing so.
I will be waiting for your reply.
