PC to TV via S-Video

In the past I was able to extend my desktop to my television via s-video without issue in the past. I restored my notebook to it's factory settings and haven't been able to connect to the television since then. I am running updated drivers.

Prior to reverting to factory settings, my Intel GMA displayed options for both the notebook and the television.

Since, it only displays the notebook as seen here.

I've been troubleshooting on http://www.reality-check.ca/threads/237113-PC-to-TV-via-S-Video-Issue another web-community and have logged everything I've tried there...

I've had this running before, I can't understand why it won't work this time around. My television is certainly capable.

When you say you restores your systems settings to default, are you reffering to BIOS?

My laptop came with Toshiba recovery disks to restore it to out-of-box factory settings. Everything, including the bios, I assume, would have been restored to the way it was when I turned it on for the first time.

When I bought this computer, I ran all Windows Updates and made sure I had the latest drivers. All was well until I restored to factory settings.

Follow the same steps you did when you first got it. Windows update, drivers, etc.

Been through it all. Everything is current. I'm 99.9% on that.

Hmmmm,, check the BIOS setting to make sure there isn't something in there to enable SVIDEO.

I've been through my BIOS and didn't see anything relevant to s-video. I will, however, look again. Thanks!

I've reviewed my BIOS and couldn't find anything relevant to enabling s-video.

Is there a Function Key combination you need to use to output to TV? For example, my Lenovo T61 requires me to press Fn + F7 to switch to S Video.

Fn+F5 should switch my display. The Fn console appears but only displays the laptop. There is nothing to switch to.

Ok,, I know this may sound silly but could you check both ends of your S Video cable to make sure there are no bent or broken pins?

Checked the pins on both ends of the cable. All look as they should.

I reversed the cable. No luck.

I've tried the drivers that came with the laptop (they're all listed on the toshiba website), and both drivers listed on the intel site.

Still the same problem. No "Television" tab, only the single "Notebook" tab under my displays.
