I have a 4600 chipset used in our product that is attached to an Advantech display. On occasion when the system is rebooted the display does not work. Traced it back to the refresh rate changing to 70 hz which is unsupported for this display.
Has this ever been seen in the field (changing refresh rate) ? The driver is older (9.18.10.3131, 4/22/13) but would like to know if there was a known issue with the driver before I update and hope it is fixed (it is infrequent but a real problem when it occurs).
From limited understanding the display will report its capabilities when queried. If we have not changed the modes would it impact the current settings ?
Is there a place in the registry where we can lock this down (Windows 7).
Thanks !
