- 부적절한 컨텐트 신고
Hi Teams,
I'm having struggle to connect laptop to external display which has resolution (1920x1080 @ 60 refresh rate).
Laptop specs:-
Model - Toshibha (Portege r930) - 1CZ
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3340M CPU @ 2.70GHz
GPU - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
I've noticed that there is no custom resolution settings option on intel grapics property.
For build-in display it has 1366x768 resolution.
I've saved the report at the time of external monitor connected, and i attched that also.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember what the capabilities of the old Graphics Control Panel app were; it's simply been too long. Have you tried using the Advanced control page instead of the Basic?
A lot of older laptops locked the resolution of all displays to that of the embedded display. This may be contributing for your issues.

But i have get output through VGA cable. But its resolution about 1366*768.
I tried custom setting but that resolution not available.

You are running iGFX driver build 4358. The latest available is 5161. I suggest you try it.
It doesn't appear that Intel is hosting driver packages for processors this old. I have placed a copy of the 5161 driver package in my share, which you can access from here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-kKYC-ZscC-c2BlQKiQ.
Hope this helps,

Thank you for your suggestion! I've already installed the latest version as you recommended, but unfortunately, I'm still encountering the same error. It seems like there might be another factor contributing to the issue. Do you have any other ideas or suggestions I could explore.
Here i attached dxdiag as .txt.

Well, as I said earlier, a lot of older laptops locked the resolution of all displays to that of the embedded display. If this is the case, there is no getting around it.

Finally, Extended display works fine. 😎
It seems that the embedded display function works fine when connecting via HDMI after restarting the laptop. However, attempting to connect the cable while the laptop is already running results in failure to establish a connection.
Thanks.

Interesting - and, sadly, not without parallels, I noticed recently that I sometimes have issues with monitor hot plug into Thunderbolt ports on 11th and 12th gen systems. In both cases, it took a reboot for stable and consistent operation. It's unclear whether I should blame Windows or the GFX driver for these issues.
