Request for Intel Arc Driver Support on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Hello Intel Graphics Team,
(Intel Ultra 9 185h igpu only, trying to run gazebo sim) 

I am currently using an Intel Arc GPU (Mobile) on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble) for robotics simulations and development with ROS 2 and Gazebo. While the drivers work well on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, I am experiencing fallback to llvmpipe and software rendering on 24.04, which prevents hardware-accelerated OpenGL and Vulkan usage.

I would like to kindly request official support for Intel Arc drivers on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Many users in the robotics and developer community would benefit from timely availability of these drivers on the newest LTS release.

Thank you for considering this request. Your support for Ubuntu 24.04 would greatly improve usability and adoption of Intel Arc GPUs on Linux.
