Resizable BAR not available, required for Intel Arc A370M (missing in BIOS) Envy 16

Product: HP ENVY 16 Inch Laptop PC 16-H0000 (534C7AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Whenever the ARC A370M card is activated in Windows for an application, I have a short stutter in performance and a reset message in the Windows Logs: The Intel(R) Graphics System Controller Firmware Interface is being reset.

This is most noticeable when audio is playing and there is a short freeze and stutter when the discrete GPU is activated.

Intel stresses that Resizable BAR is required for this GPU, yet HP has not implemented it on a $1000+ laptop.

"Set default settings on BIOS, but remember to enable Resizable Bar, as this is fundamental for proper Intel® Arc™ Graphics operation."

This issue has happened with every version of the Intel driver and BIOS levels since purchasing the laptop in February 2023.

I am running the latest BIOS F.31 from December, ARC A370M 31.0.101.5186 and there is still no option to enable this setting. Model 63U42UAR#ABA

Is this issue caused by the lack of Resizable BAR or something else?

A similar spec Lenovo laptop with the same CPU and GPU does not have this issue and shows Resizable BAR enabled.

Double-check if the Resizable BAR is indeed disabled using the Intel® Arc™ Control Software. You can refer to these links:

Still, have you contacted HP about this issue? Because maybe they have some suggestions on how to enable it.

Same here!

I believe this is on HP's side though. I've searched around but haven't really found any clarifying information.

Let me know if you find something!
