Screen Freeze including audio

Very similar to previous topic "Video Freeze" by user "Newmans" (2026-02)

My freeze includes both video and audio, and is not limited to media.  

Critically, it ONLY happens when the battery is NOT charging; i.e. the laptop is running solely on internal battery.  The time factor varies anywhere from 3 to 30 minutes.

Once it happens, the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 is unusable & I must hold down the power button for 15 seconds to force a reboot.  Any unsaved data is lost.

Error report titles vary widely, when they appear at all on-screen.

Following the guidance offered by Intel Support in the previous topic, I manually downloaded the latest Arc Graphics driver x64 and checked the "clean installation" option. 

I will be rebooting to see what good this manoeuvre does, if any.  Stand by!

1. New fresh install of Arc Graphics driver for Lenovo ThinkPad E16 laptop -- FAILED to end freeze/SOD crashes

2. Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) image cleanup:

I'm pretty sure the problem isn't with the graphics driver, so I'm letting Intel off the hook.

Microsoft may be plunging headlong into AI, but it would be nice if they took a bit of AI to really end the Windows nightmare that has plagued the OS from day one.  No matter how many changes Windows has undergone, the utter frustration of its so-called repair tools  remains.
