Sometimes Crash on D3D12CreateDevice

System info: 

CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1260P

GPU: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics

Driver version: 31.0.101.5186

 

Sometimes crash happens in idg12um64xhe.dll with exception code 0xc0000094 (divide by zero) when D3D12CreateDevice() is called.

According to memory dump, the crash happens when opening dGPU, Arc A350M

  • Is it possible that you can share with us the video of the issue that we have? so we can figure out the exact issue.
  • Please generate an SSU report to help me further analyze important details on your system, such as the OS build number, errors logged in the system, etc. To generate the SSU report, please refer to the article How to Get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows. Please send us the generated SSU.txt file.

Attached the SSU report.

 

But I'm not sure what kind of video you want. I can provide full memory dump if it helps (if there's any storage I can upload 400MB file)

Hello Seungha, 


Based on our research, this kind of issue happens when you have an outdated or incompatible graphics driver on your system.


In regards to this, we recommend that you first install Samsung or your OEM graphics driver, as they have customized their graphics driver for your system.


And if the issue still persists, please perform a clean installation using DDU, then install the generic Intel graphics driver 5445.



If the troubleshooting steps that we have provided did not resolve the issue, please generate a new SSU and share it with us so we can raise our case with our engineers.


And by the way, may I know from which application this issue occurs?
