Hello,
As I was expecting, the noise of my B580 is now back. My peace didn´t last that long...
As mentioned in another thread, my B580 produces a repetitive noise every 2-3 seconds, which only occurs when the "Fan & Thermal Tuning" is set to advanced. Additionally, I am experiencing some minor software bugs, such as changing settings and applying them, only to find that I have to quit the program and redo the process to make it work.

- The noise only becomes noticeable when using the Advanced fan tuning mode. Neither the off setting nor the Basic fan tuning produces any noise.
- All drivers are up to date, although they are not WHQL-certified, which I typically avoid. However, I can confirm that they are not causing any issues at the moment. I tested this by shutting down all the case fans using Fan Expert (Armoury Crate) and resetting the tuning parameters. After that, I switched to Basic fan tuning. This required multiple attempts since applying the changes didn't seem to take effect until I completely closed and reopened the program. With 10% increments from 0 to 100, I did not hear any noise, except for some whistling, which is generally considered normal.
- The sound was persistent while idling, but I believe it would disappear under heavy workloads, such as gaming and video editing, since the GPU fans would then spin at higher RPMs. However, I can’t confirm this, as the case fans would mask the sound.
- Unfortunately, every time I try to change the fan tuning parameters in the software, it takes multiple attempts for the changes to take effect. I have to completely quit the program (with no background running) and reopen it, trying again until the changes are applied.
I suspect that the noise was related to the voltage sent to the fans to control their speed. In the video you referenced, other users mentioned similar experiences, noting a certain correlation between the sound and the fan's rotation. After I adjusted the fan curve in the Advanced tuning, the noise completely disappeared. I plan to replicate the sound again to determine if a specific low percentage is causing the noise related to the voltage being sent.
Hopefully, this is something that can be fixed or at least understood, so we know where the problem originates. It would be nice for Intel to have good drivers, at least once.
Best regards,
Miguel Freitas.

Hi FreitasM545,
Thank you for posting in our Community and for sharing the video link. To help us assess the issue further, could you please provide a screenshot of the Intel® Graphics Software showing the performance metrics (GPU temperature and utilization) while the noise occurs? Additionally, kindly confirm if the card is overclocked and check whether any nearby wires might be coming into contact with the fans.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hi Again Von M.
Attached, you will find a screen recording of the Intel Graphics Software. As previously mentioned, nothing is touching the GPU fans, and the GPU itself has less than a week from being opened from the box, and no OC was ever done to it. As spoken before as well, the noise stops in the "Basic Tuning" and, of course, while the fan tuning is set to "Off".
As you will be able to see in the screen recording, the fans' rpms are very inconsistent, and the lows and highs are consistent with the timing of the sound coming from the GPU. All drivers are up-to-date, and this screen recording has been made with only the Chrome window open in this chat and the snipping tool from Windows.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Hopefully, this can be solved quickly. I also don´t know if this can be something harmful for the GPU.
Best regards, Miguel Freitas.

Hello FreitasM545,
Thank you for sharing the screen recording and for the detailed explanation. I understand your concern regarding the inconsistent fan RPMs and the noise patterns you observed. I’ll need to conduct additional research on this issue to ensure we provide you with accurate guidance. Once I have more information, I’ll post an update in this thread.
In the meantime, please rest assured that we’re actively looking into this matter. I’ll keep you informed as soon as I have further findings.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello FreitasM545,
Thank you for your patience. After carefully reviewing the information, this appears to be a potential hardware-related issue. Since your Sparkle Intel® Arc™ B580 graphics card is less than a week old, we highly recommend reaching out to your retailer or place of purchase to request a hardware exchange or return. This is the most efficient path forward, as the issue may indicate a defective unit.
In the meantime, I will close this inquiry now as the next step will be handled directly with your retailer. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards,
Von M.
